Happy Independence Day to all! Derek had his first summer picnic July 1 at Pt. Defiance park. We enjoyed eating salami, bread, butter, and cocoa cookies. Derek was inseparable from his Papa as he ate. He leaned up against Ric the entire time. After lunch we took a hike on one of the many trails there and saw a fox, six dear, raccoons, and a bald eagle. Derek found an amazing tree he just had to hide-out in! He loved the picnic and wants to do more in the near future! I think we can manage that!
