Derek is four and a half months old and growing rapidly. Most people think he is much older when they first see him because he is quite long! He has improved in his fine and gross motor skills. He can roll over with ease and is wanting desperately to crawl! He can grab an objet he desires and places his own pacifier in his mouth. Derek is working on some teeth! Drooling is constant as well as placing his fingers in his mouth to chew on. His favorite object to chew is a refrigerated spatula. Dogs and cats are fun objects to touch and observe! We continue to take a drive every day through Pt. Defiance, which gives mama a break! We enjoy walks in the Bjorn daily, which helps to keep us in shape. I've never walked so much in my life! We think Derek is the coolest kid around. We hope you enjoy the photos!

Here is another one! Derek just started going from his tummy onto his back in his bassinet! He kicks off the side and throws himself over. The first time he did it, I was unaware and stared into these big blue eyes. SURPRISE MOMMY!

Happy Mothers Day! Derek is four months old and growing up so fast. For his four month checkup, he weighed in at 13 pounds 10 ounces and is 26 inches long. Derek is in the 90th percentile for length, but only in the 30th percentile for weight. He is cooing, giggling, and now SQUEALING! Our son continues to roll over from his back to his tummy, and we're practicing crawling...He is SUPER fun!!!

Derek is such an awesome kid! He is enjoying being held more, which is super wonderful for us! He can turn all the way over onto his tummy going either way. We faced him out for the first time in the Bjorn, which he loved because he could see everything around him! Derek is getting "SO BIG!" Do they have to grow up?
