Happy Due Date! Well, our son has decided to stay in his cozy home for a while! Two days ago I had an internal exam, and the midwife said I'm closed up tight. She said she has met many women who were in the same situation and gave birth the evening after being checked. So, you never know! My feeling is he will be born some time in January. The further away from the holidays, the better! Also, Ric has a lot to do for Firehouse before it opens, so it is great to have a few more days he can give of his time. I feel wonderful, but can't wait to meet our little boy! Happy New Year to everyone!

Happy Kwanzaa and Chanukkah to all! I am officially five days from my due date and feeling GREAT! I hope our little one comes after the holidays, but that is asking a great deal from him! I wonder when he is going to be born??? We had a lovely Christmas Eve and Day spending it with the family at Oma and Opa's house. We are so blessed to be living close by to family. Oh happy days to come...

One more day of work! I think I can make it. I am only 11 days from my due date and feeling wonderful! I am a bit tired trying to get ready for my substitute due to late hours at work. This week I will spend the time finalizing Christmas gifts, getting ready for the baby, and writing more thank you notes. I have written approximately 70 of these just for our little one. Everyone has been super generous. I can't wait for him to meet everyone. We are narrowing down names for him! I presume he will receive his name when we hold him in our arms! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Ric and I are so excited to meet our little one! This is my last full week of work with only two days to go. Then I will begin 4 months of maternity leave. We are looking forward to this time.
Not only are we giving birth to a baby this month, but also to our coffee store, Firehouse Coffee Co., which will be opening at the end of December! It is looking great! Ric is an incredible designer. You ALL knew that! Our lives have been super busy with work, ten to fifteen hour days. YIKES! Once the baby comes, we will have 24 hour work days! Can't Wait!!!

I am officially three and one half weeks from my due date and people are starting to notice I'm pregnant. They say I look like I have a basketball in my tummy! Our little one does not have a name yet, but we are narrowing it down...I'm sure once we see him we'll figure something out! I feel great, but getting a bit tired!
