Can you believe Derek is now six weeks old? Time sure flies by! Ric and I are enjoying our little guy a ton and learning how to meet his needs. He enjoys his bouncy seat, listening to the ocean on a stormy day (white noise), and being wrapped like a burrito! He smiles a ton and loves to talk! He has melted our hearts and the hearts of others! We continue to go on drives, and Ric takes him on his nightly and daily walks in the sling to give me some time to sleep and take a shower. Ric is a dream!

Derek is now a month old! He loves talking to mom and dad after waking up in the morning and enjoys his favorite toy - a dog puppet from Aunt Sandy! He is now tracking us with his eyes and smiling and cooing a great deal when he is doing this. He has been on many drives and walks with us. He is getting used to being changed with rarely a tear shed! Pictures are coming soon of Derek! Please be patient as we learn more about our new camera!

Derek is now three weeks old and is changing so quickly we can hardly believe it! He is now beginning to coo and lift his head for long periods of time. He took his first real bath, which he liked initially, but then wanted out! Ric and I have been able to get out a bit by going to drive-throughs for coffee and a treat and doing the Five Mile Drive out at Pt. Defiance! We are having a great time getting to know our son!
