Derek loves his cousins! He is a shadow to Trevor, following him wherever he goes! It has been quite hot here in the Great Northwest! We are supposed to be in the 90s for quite a while. Not Fun! So we are in or near water as often as possible.

Happy Birthday Ric and Cort! Yesterday the two of them became a year older. We spent the day eating, drinking and relaxing at Tante's house. It was a perfect day!

Well, we just figured out Derek is a fish! He absolutely loves water, and has been able to swim at his grandparent's hotel several times this week. You would think that after about 2 hours in the pool he we drift off to sleep... Not a chance!!!

As I sat at the computer yesterday, I read the words, "Sad News." I opened the email from my principal and began to cry... My friend from my pro-cert class had died on Friday due to complications after surgery. She was only in her thirties and was an amazing teacher who worked so hard to meet all of her students' needs. She will truly be missed. Here is a video I would like to dedicate to her. May you RIP, Hilleary.
